HTC Cobalt HSS Corner Rounding Cutters

A corner rounding cutter puts a consistent radius on an edge in one pass, which is what a drawing means when it calls for a broken edge to a stated size rather than "deburr". The radius is ground into the tool, so every part comes off the machine the same — that is the difference from filing or sanding an edge by hand.

These are cobalt high-speed steel, not solid carbide. On a corner rounder that matters more than on a straight cutter: the tool works on an interrupted edge, entering and leaving the material on every revolution, and cobalt's toughness survives that better than carbide's hardness does. On a manual mill, an older machine, or a part held in a vise rather than a fixture, cobalt is the right call.
