This 8-flute high-speed steel T-slot cutter is designed for machining bolt T-slots with a 5/16" nominal bolt size after the required entry slot has been produced. The 30° helix supports controlled chip flow, while the non-center-cutting geometry is intended for lateral engagement.
High-speed steel provides toughness and resistance to chipping for slotting, maintenance, and production applications that benefit from a more forgiving cutting edge than carbide.
