Tap-Paste is a hand-applied cutting and tapping lubricant, made in the USA, for the operations where the machine's coolant does not reach the cut: tapping, drilling, reaming, broaching, knurling and hand cutting.
It is thicker than a cutting oil but still flows, so it stays on the flutes and on the hole wall instead of running off before the tool reaches depth. That is what makes the difference on a tap in a deep hole, a reamer in stainless, or a broach on the second pass. It works on all metals and exotic alloys, is at its best on stainless steel, and should not be used on magnesium. It does not expire on the shelf.
