This 3-flute high-speed steel (hss) tapered end mill uses a 30° helix and 1-1/2° taper for controlled milling of angled walls, tapered slots, pockets, molds, dies, and contoured features. The center-cutting geometry supports controlled axial entry, ramping, and pocketing when appropriate for the workpiece and setup.
High-speed steel provides toughness and resistance to chipping for general machining, repair work, interrupted cuts, and setups that benefit from a forgiving cutting edge.
The TiAlN Hard Coat is intended for improved heat and wear resistance in demanding tapered-milling applications.
