This family of HTC solid carbide square end mills carries a titanium nitride (TiN) coating — the classic gold finish that has been a machining staple for decades. TiN increases surface hardness and adds lubricity, so chips slide off the flutes instead of welding to them. The result is longer edge life and more consistent finishes than uncoated tooling in general steel-cutting work, at a modest premium.
Single-end and ground from solid micrograin carbide, these end mills produce accurate slots, shoulders and profiles with clean internal corners. The family runs from very small diameters up through heavy shanks, in multiple flute counts and lengths of cut, making it easy to standardize one coated line across mixed production in steels and general engineering materials.
