Ground from solid carbide. This tool cuts 5/16" diameter, has 1-1/2" of flute and measures 6" overall.

The ball nose leaves a radiused bottom, which is what you want for 3D contours, fillets and mould surfaces rather than flat floors.

The extra length reaches into deep pockets and past fixturing that a standard tool cannot clear.

TiCN is harder than TiN and holds up better in abrasive materials and higher feeds.
