5/16" cutting diameter, 3 flutes, single end, AlTiN coated.
Ground from solid carbide. This tool cuts 5/16" diameter, runs a 5/16" shank, has 13/16" of flute and measures 2-1/2" overall. The flutes are cut at a 35° helix.
This is a rougher: the chip-breaking edge form cuts the cutting pressure and breaks the chip into short pieces, so it removes stock faster than a finishing tool at the same power.
AlTiN is built for heat: stainless, tool steels and high-temperature alloys, especially with little or no coolant.
