Ground from solid carbide. This tool cuts 1" diameter, runs a 1" shank, has 2" of flute and measures 4" overall. The flutes are cut at a 35° helix.

This is a rougher: the chip-breaking edge form cuts the cutting pressure and breaks the chip into short pieces, so it removes stock faster than a finishing tool at the same power.

AlTiN is built for heat: stainless, tool steels and high-temperature alloys, especially with little or no coolant.
