HTC solid carbide reamers are finishing tools for bringing drilled holes to final size with a smooth, consistent bore. Made from solid micrograin carbide, they hold their edge and diameter far longer than high-speed steel, which keeps hole size stable over long production runs. This standard-length series is offered in an exceptionally wide range of sizes — decimal, fractional and wire-gauge diameters — so you can match the exact finished hole size your print calls for instead of compromising to the nearest stock size.
Each reamer has 4–6 straight flutes that shear the remaining stock evenly for a fine surface finish in through holes and blind holes. The uncoated finish leaves the sharpest possible cutting edge, well suited to steels, cast iron, aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. For best results, drill close to final size and leave a light, even amount of stock for the reamer to remove.
