CNMG 160608 / CNMG 542, chip breaker BR, grade FM524 — negative 80° rhombic turning insert.

5/8" inscribed circle, 1/4" thick, 1/32" corner radius. The BR breaker is the roughing geometry: 0.012–0.024 ipr (0.3–0.6 mm/rev) at 0.08–0.24" (2–6 mm) depth of cut. FM524 is a CVD grade — gray cast iron and very stable steel — the hardest substrate with CVD coating for extreme wear resistance.
