1" OD x 1" Shank OD x 1" LOC x 3-1/2" OAL 3-Flute Single End Cobalt High-Speed Steel (HSS) Aluminum TN-Style Roughing End Mill, 40° Helix, Center Cut, Square End, Stub Length, TiAlN Hard Coat.

This 3-flute cobalt high-speed steel roughing end mill combines HSS toughness with improved hot hardness for demanding material-removal applications. The aluminum roughing geometry is designed for productive stock removal in aluminum and other suitable non-ferrous alloys, with flute space intended to support chip evacuation. The center-cutting geometry also supports controlled axial entry, ramping, and pocketing when appropriate for the workpiece and setup. The TN designation identifies the manufacturer-specified roughing profile for this series.

The TiAlN Hard Coat is intended for improved heat and wear resistance in demanding roughing applications.
