This 2-flute cobalt high-speed steel finishing end mill uses a 30° helix and stub length construction for accurate, controlled milling. The square-end geometry is suited to finishing slots, pockets, shoulders, side walls, and flat-bottom features. The center-cutting geometry also supports controlled axial entry, ramping, and pocketing when appropriate for the workpiece and setup. This tool is identified in the source specification as Miniature Style.
Cobalt high-speed steel combines HSS toughness with improved hot hardness for applications that benefit from added heat and wear resistance.
The TiAlN Hard Coat is intended for improved heat and wear resistance in demanding finishing applications.
