1/4" Spoon Cutter, center cutting, single end, 60° helix, 3 flutes, uncoated.
A spoon cutter is a center-cutting single-end mill with a gashed, spoon-shaped end, so it can plunge straight into the material and then feed sideways without a pilot hole. This one is ground from solid carbide and cuts 1/4" diameter on a 1/4" shank, with 3/4" of flute and 6" overall.
Ground for finishing passes: light radial engagement at high spindle speed, where the shear angle and flute polish do more for the surface than raw depth of cut.
The uncoated, polished flute leaves the sharpest possible edge — the usual choice for aluminium and other soft, sticky materials where a coating only adds edge radius.
