This 2-flute high-speed steel flat-bottom end mill is designed to produce flat-bottom pockets, spot faces, counterbores, and clean floor surfaces. The 30° helix supports smooth chip evacuation, while the flat-bottom geometry minimizes the center dish left by a conventional end mill. Its center-cutting geometry supports controlled axial entry, ramping, and pocketing when appropriate for the workpiece and setup.
High-speed steel provides toughness and resistance to chipping for general machining, repair work, and applications that benefit from a more forgiving cutting edge than carbide.
